Executive mahogany desk for office or home, having a centre kneehole opening, flanked by file drawers, mounted on legs with leaf-carved knees, ending in claw and ball feet, in the Chippendale style. There are two top drawers; one faux drawer is above a sliding filing cabinet and the hardware is batwing and bale handled brasses. The back of the desk has a pull-out table that closes flush with the edge when not in use. The surface of the desk bears a protective glass top. The manufacturer is Councill Furniture Company in Denton, North Carolina.
